It's low quality, cheap cotton, and looks pretty worn. Bargain bin stuff. Suitable only for university students who don't wash their linen in the entire year (and it's entirely at your risk to enter the said room.

TBH the whole Egyptian cotton thing is a big con..... The hint is in its name.
Some consumer programme did an investigation and concluded that only about 5% was anywhere near the thread count they claimed..... most was like 25-50%.
Same with Manuka honey.

Of course. Some of the best cotton does come from Egypt because of the long nature of the fibres. But that's not all cotton raised in Egypt. Do some manufacturers take advantage of this? Yep
I general I find the most reliable .... never mind, I don't think people want to listen to me compare different linens
