isn't legal aid just another term for a court-appointed defence?
ie the bare minimum in a court of law (non-marsupial, that is)?

and are all defendants not allowed legal aid?

it is taking the piss though.
And who is gonna employ them or vote for them ever again?

yeah, only a few hundred houses. Each of them have put up a Vote Labour posters on their front and back windows

everybody has the right to legal aid. Its one of the cornerstones of a fair criminal legal system. They are innocent until proven guilty.

they probably will have to pay back a lot of the legal aid if they are found guilty. Many more of their colleagues should be in the dock with them!
