I was originally asking about venues where music is available. If I wanted something else then I would go to expatriates.com or similar. So the answer appears to be that there are no tourist hotels currently offering anything more entertaining than a quiet drinky poo.

That, like puppies are not just for the festive season but all year round. Unless you live in Tel Aviv, then you can go to Gay Pride or just be boring and have consensual, unmarried heterosexual whenever you like without papers, safe in the knowledge that your country doesn't even appear on maps in the GCC, even thought your falafel is just as good,
