Hello All

We have a stag coming up and the usual talk is already happening (activity crap in day....darkside tour....) The one thing we need is an evening brunch before the dark side. We want something that would fit a typical stag. A cheap no thrills brunch, suggestions so far have been The Locker Room and Flavors on two.

Can anyone think of any others or recommend any?

I just have to say that brunch is joining of breakfast and lunch so how can you have one in the evening? It's one of those 'Dubaiisms' that irritates.

Al Murooj and most Rotanas have all-in evening meals, but have you looked in Time Out? Other places do them, but not every night, so it depends what evening you want.

Brunch is what you have mid-morning. Spot the "nouveux riches" and the "arrivistes"

Yes I know what brunch means and yes I do understand it is a buffet we are looking for. I didn't realize people would get so upset with calling it an evening brunch, its just a term that is often used out here. No need to get upset

Stables have a late afternoon/early evening brunch which might fit the bill, and is at the right end of town. Media One evening brunch is pretty lively, and often full of cabin crew which may appeal to a stag group. Meridian Terrace is reasonable priced and good drinks selection.

Flavours might be a little quiet and civilised depending on what kind of Stag doo it's going to be.

When I was at school matron used to call it elevenses. Brunch is new money/American tosh. - You peasants.

Flavours is good if you all smoke...reason being you have to go down to Longs bar for a salmon. At which point you play a game and the loser buys everyone a jagerbomb.

They're not great with booze though...at least when went last year they wouldn't give you more until your glass was empty...and then took a while.

May have just been unlucky but stag do's don't tolerate tardiness with grog.

It's a British term, coined in the 1890s. Sadly you show yourself to be the peasant by not knowing the British origin.
