I skim-read something this weekend that suggested May should be a mediator between the government (responsible for representing the people) and the EU. The government as a whole debating with the EU over the deal. Sounded remarkable.

Wouldn't that be a disaster.... i.e a mix bag of MPs not knowing what they want against 28 member states - seeking to divide and conquer.
