Etisalat question

I've registered my mobile numbers on the Etisalat website, but where the hell is the function to register a credit card to make top-ups?

No answer for you as I have a post-pay account, but for a commumications company they have an awful website that is not at all use friendly. They have had numerous complaints for years, yet can't be bothered to improve it.

I'm post paid too - there is an accounts login section where I can pay my bills via credit card etc.... perhaps the top up section is there?

Or - if your with EmiratesNBD you can set up your mobile in the online banking and can top up direct from you account - this works well...

Re: Etisalat question

I used to top-up online until I changed banks and tried to pay using a different credit card - it simply stated that I had already used a different card through the account so couldn't change it. No further options given. Now buy credit at the checkout at Spinneys.

Etisalat are an utter bunch of clowns.

Hopeless....

What I'm trying to do here is to load credit to a PAYG SIM for data roaming for an iPad....which of course you can't do through a normal top-up voucher because it's not a phone :blink:

I've been trying to find the register credit card facility half the bloody day!

www.e4me.ae

Register here and there's a Wasel Recharge option under '4 aFriend'

But, I'm also post-paid so I don't know whether that's a requirement for registration - give it a try....

Re: Etisalat question

from what i've been able to tell there is no way to top up your wasel online unless you also have a postpaid or landline account registered. i asked etisalat customer service about it and they sort of confirmed this, but like so many other times i'm not totally convinced they understood the question...

Du are jokers too, but if you compare their websites, Du is lightyears ahead in both function and usability.

Yes, I'm convinced that there is no facility to top up a PAYG card online...despite what the idiots at their "customer service" are telling me. So each month it'll be a trip to one of their "service centres" and stand in line with the Great Unwashed. Lovely.

Re: Etisalat question

You can do it.

Register the account / number online

You go to the column on the left and recharge under ' Services - Mobile Services - Recharge Existing Wasel'

I recharge Mrs Millhouse's PAYG all the time using a credit card online. I don't have a post-paid phone in my name either...

For a few seconds I considered the possibility that perhaps I am an idiot so to satisfy my need to disprove this theory I have just logged in on their (new look - same shitty functionality) website and done exactly what you said. I get the following error message:

Currently you have no postpaid account(s) (GSM, Fixed-line or Internet) linked to your online profile Kindly Link your account(s) if any, to use Wasel recharge facility.

If you have already requested for linking your postpaid account(s), please call our customer care center agents at 101 for confirming the linking request.

For further assistance you may email us

I hate Etisalat with a vengeance. And Du are equally crap so there isn't even any point in changing...

Now that is weird... I don't own a post-paid account. In fact, never have as it's always been registered to my employer (did have a fixed line once - but now on Du)

I do remember going through a whole process of sms's etc when registering her phone online.

I'm sure I did as well. Anyway it doesn't really matter. Bastards! :p

The coffee shop in the office sells the charge slips so I'm all good. Plus I spend so little money I generally only recharge once a month (and then only to maintain my discounted data package)...
