Etisalat and Bittorrent

Etisalat and Bittorrent
So anyone who is IT savvy... does Etisalat block torrents in any way? I seem to get much better speeds when connected to my UK based VPN than a normal connection.

they dont block as such but the do throttle your connection so it doesnt eat up so much bandwidth. try change ports it sometimes works

When you say throttle, do you mean they specifically throttle that port..? Im not too good with this networking stuff.
