we always use a shop in al quoz, sorry can't remember the name, but it's where we get all the kids' riding gear...

basically, it's behind dubai international school...if you come down from safa park towards nad al sheba, go through the lights with the bowling alley on the rhs, after the lights, take the slip road and follow it until the last turning right (it sort of just bears round to the right), then you'll see a row of shops on the left, the horse riding gear shop is there, next to a beauty parlour, and petland is at the far end...

the guy is always willing to give a bit of discount, and we've found the stuff to be very good...
