England Football Great Resut

What a great result from the England Football Team, a narrow lost against the mighty Iceland. Shame little coverage of this in the press.

ps (Icelandic girls are hot! why are English girls all mongs)

Pathetic, completely outplayed, clueless. No heart.

Overpaid bunch of pussies. If we all stopped paying for overpriced TV sports packages then these tarts would earn what they deserve.

Maybe Hodgson and Cameron are one and the same person. Neither ****** could keep us in Europe

Wish they'd had no Hart, a decent goalie would have saved at least that second goal.

And completely agree on the other points, particularly "overpaid bunch of pussies".

The status of the England team has a direct parallel to Brexit

The Premier League (England) has an influx of cheap foreigners (immigrants) and whilst it makes the Premier League (Economy) look good and exciting (Strong Pound and Economy), our local talent (working class) don't have a chance to play (no jobs or schools). As of such, there is no room is squads (Housing, schools and NHS) for our local talent (working class). As of such our National Team (UK Educational standards) drops whilst foreign team such as Iceland (Poland + EE countries) have become better.

As such England (brexit)is now our of the euros (EU)

Hodgson should have been fired after the last World Cup . The guys been a mediocre manager and coach all his life. The qualifying group results were misleading for me as we walked it and opposition was weak.

The problem comes with competitive tournament based football , you need to have the mentality for that and a very structured system with players that fit into that system and know their jobs.

England had neither the right players or any system . The wrong squad was selected and Hodgson didn't know his best 11 prior to the Russia game and that came through onto the pitch .

The FA , Coaches , set up and players are all to blame but it's a recurring theme of underachievement . Having the best domestic league in the world doesn't correlate into having the best national side.

We will in due course get the usual shite PR of a full report and root and branch change blah blah blah . Nothing much will change unless there's an appetite to break the current FA.

Bring on the start of the Premier league !

Not taking away any of his achievements, its a great story (loads of goals)

But i don't rate Vardy.

Just to put this in perspective:

England's manager makes $4.6 mil a year. Iceland's is a part-time dentist.

Rashford was the most creative and attack minded player - for all of his 5 mins last night.

We're just simply not good enough, and haven't been for 20 years. Since Euro '96, we've won TWO knockout games in all competitions: Denmark and Ecuador. We're ok when it comes to playing a league ( group matches ) but it comes to the crunch against the better teams, we're second rate. We couldn't score vs Slovakia, Germany put three past them easily.

Absolute pile of dog shit.

+1 on the overpaid bunch of pussies with stupid haircuts and obligatory tattoo's. Wankers.

As for the managers, the best two we've had recently have both been foreign. But such is the backward mentality of the Englishman ( eg Brexit ) , he will only want to see an English manager. Idiots.

/ Rant.

Agreed. The FA is currently not fit for purpose. They need a top down restructuring. More cash pumped in at a grass roots level and all the old guys at the top booted out and replaced with some ex pro's who actually understand the modern game.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Southgate get it.

LVG is looking for a job though ;)

Great post.

Ignoring the poor performance of the players and Woy. I lay blame firmly with the FA. They're an old boys club and just desperately want to hire the next company man (GNev maybe?) to toe the line and be a good pet for them.

Dyke et al should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and the way they allow grass roots football and improving the quality of our training, youngster set ups and facilities to continuously fail. It's maddening how bad the FA are and how they continue to get away with it.

I just assumed it was the arrogance of a sure bet. It usually is that.

Oh, and the team are a bunch of overpaid posers.

Danny Baker's timeline on Twitter makes for interesting reading:

Certainly pulls no punches.

Particular favourites for me are:

"I simply do not buy that footballers feel bad after game like that when they will be back on £200k in a few weeks. Its impossible."

and

"Absolutely disgraceful, #England. You useless over paid, over indulged mollycoddled shits. You are beyond shame. Disgrace to working people."

Euro 96 was the last time we achieved anything remotely good.

20 years ago - let that sink in.

And that was on home soil.

Prior to that , it was Italia '90 we did anything remotely interesting, beating Cameroon and Belgium.
