The end of an era.............
Generations of middle aged men, and countless US navy personnel, will be crying themselves to sleep in Bahrain tonight - alone..........
Causeway passport officers will be made redundant in vast numbers, no longer needed to cope with the tidal wave of Saudi 'weekend' visitors.........
Numerous Chinese and Thai girls of indeterminate age will be wandering the streets of Manama, wondering what to do now.........
The Tylos Hotel has closed down.
The hotel that epitomised the 'booze-and-whores' tourist trade that Bahrain became synonymous with, is no more.
A memorial service will be held in Diggers Bar, at the Delmon International Hotel, next Friday evening at 8pm.
Anyone who can offer accomodation to a homeless Asian girl with good interpersonal skills is requested to add their name to the list on the wall at Diggers.
