Anyway, I didn't see the game........ how good/bad were England? Their superb away record in qualifying tournaments always stands them in good stead, it seems, but it's always disappointing not to win after being ahead.......

Hart - Didn't have to do loads, uncharacterirstic error to concede, in fact...schoolboy goalkeeping.
Johnson - Meh. I think he's shit, he wasn't terrible but wasn't great.
Jagielka - bit wobbly at time but alright
Lescott - solid, good from him
Cole - as you'd expect, decent.
Cleverley - Something and nothing, a bit useful in helping CArrick out, but didn't get too far forward.
Gerrard - not sure he touched the ball much, couple of 50yrd passes that make you think he's mega but nothing else.
Carrick - Kill him. Can't pass, Can't tackle, can't close the ball down, can't run, doens't push forward, doesn't rush back, mills about the centre circle passing it forward 10 yards, then standing still and taking it back. repeat. Hopeless.
Milner - Some people hate him. He worked hard, put some good balls in, but isn't quite good enough.
Defoe - ran and ran and ran, didn't get much but wasnt shit.
Rooney - first touch of a ****ing rapist. shit header off his face, shoulder, polish arm and in. Didn't offer much, looked tired and spent quite a while on the left wing.
All in all.
Lazy, boring, lacklustre but I expected a win. Maybe a draw is fair.

Agree with all that, although I thought Cole also got caught out of postion far to often and you have massively overrated Carrick he is much worse than that he is also shit in the air particularly for a tall man.

Cole - yeah, you're probably right.
Carrick - it just defies belief how he gets a game. He makes a 10 yard pass, doens't move, get's the ball back, tries again but doesn't run on or move or anything. Then, just watch him when he hasn't got the ball and the oppo midfield do, he backs away and backs away. No pressure, no challenge, nothing. Hopeless

I feel a complete mug. I was meant to go to the mall to buy presents for the looming birthday of my mrs. Decided not to, can't miss watching England play, it might be THE game, the 3-0 drubbing when we just dominate from start to finish and look the busi.....oh.....8 minutes in I knew I shouldn't have been so foolish.
