I'm a master of this stuff.

Have you got a pump room?

Dad's emptying function never emptied it that quick, we just used to backwash and open the overflow and it would drain in no time.

Otherwise, get a man in.

The guy sitting in the next office is a world expert on the design of swimming pools. He says "get a man in"

I say, act like an engineer, turn the thingy and see what happens.

The pool is half empty and green, I want to learn how to do it myself. I think I will just turn it to various positions and see what happens. I am thinking either 'backwash' or 'waste':D

You have to be really careful emptying a pool, get the experts in and watch them for next time.

It is already half empty, I just need to drain it a few inches so that they can re tile the small pool :)

It is like the washing machine question on another thread. Get the servants to do it.

You seem obsessed with "servants" why?

Obsessed ? I am taking the p*** ! And/or suggesting you pay someone some money to do something you cannot do yourself. "The labourer is worthy of his hire."

Leave a floating turd usually empties a pool pretty damn quickly. I find.
