Emirates cancelling flights to the UK in Jan

Just heard that due to the lack of tourists and number of expats returning to the Uk, Emirates are cutting back on the number of flights to UK

They're cutting back because no one will fly them as they are a ripoff.
7600 they wanted for my ticket home......got it from a competitor for 5100.

Not surprised, if it's anything like Aus it's nice being here but bloody extortionate to get off it. Quantas were doing a supposed 2 for the price of one the other day but no cheaper than normal.

Saying that I would fly Emirates or Singapore before most of the others but suspect this global crunch is hitting all the airlines in the pocket although fuel is supposed to be coming down in price.

Is this for January only, or a permanent decision?

And I'd also like an answer to the question - Where did you hear that?

For each flight cancelled to the UK, there are 2 new flights going to Beirut...

Good luck to the A380 then. I think the flights to London start on 1st December.
