Eierlegende Wollmilchsau......
 
..... the closest translation I can find in English is a cockatrice. Anyone got a better one?

{A German on my project team used this expression in an email...... It's aroused my curiosity as to whether there's an english equivalent. Anorak moment. Sorry....}

it's an expression used to describe someone who has many different talents...
as in he can lay eggs, give milk, shed wool and has good meat on him...

LOL - Heston Blumenthal made a "cockatrice" dish on CH4 the other week. No web images available - perhaps it gave everyone food poisoning???:blink:
