The Earthly Point of Twitter.....

Re: The Earthly Point of Twitter.....
Hmmm, not sure I agree with that...
Good British Comedy Shows:-
Spaced
Black Books
Father Ted
The Day Today
The Office
Two Pints of.... oh, sorry, that one was crap....
These have their own individuality and quirkiness which follows on from the greats of Blackadder, Monty Python, Goons etc however nothing the UK has produced can stand up to the long term genius of Seinfeld or Curb if you ask me, brief 1 series flashes of brilliance, but not 9 seasons....
Last Of The Summer Whine is torture.
(shock - posters differ with comedic preferences)

And for freaky, weird but great stuff - 'Jam'. Or even better the radio series 'bluejam'

Surprised noone ever mentions the sheer comedy genius that was Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.

OK, so I've installed tweet deck. Nice GUI, fair enough, but still not sure what to do next......
I'm having a paranoid moment now that I'm over the hill and just don't get it....

It took me a while. Now you need to figure out what information you want to read/receive and thus who to follow.
Of course, you can always follow me I rarely post drivel.

Re: The Earthly Point of Twitter.....
go back to twitter on the net (tweetdeck is an application) find me / Auto and see who we are following and follow some of the news people like Martin Stansford etc. Then do a search on stuff you are interested in, key words like London and Theatre etc, whatever you fancy and find people who interest you. It will click in a couple of days. Do a search on your home town, I follow my local newspaper and Councillor (he is mad and quite entertaining). Burj Khalifa is a bit of a nutter but makes his tweets amusing none the less.

For some more modern shows, try:
The IT Crowd
Inbetweeners
Outnumbered
My Family
And, don't laugh (at me anyway)
