I was going to get an ipod from the UK as they are cheaper than here but I don't have time, my mate is coming tomorrow,

but will he get it cheaper than the shops over here if he gets it at the duty free shop??

I don't think there is any difference on Apple products and I doubt there is much on offer on landing either. The shops are not the same as on departure.

With currrent exchange rates, I'd be surprised if the UK wasn't cheaper.

Duty Free in the UK will be miles cheaper.

Dubai Airport Duty Free is generally a con job and works out more expensive than Carrefour.

i'm not sure if it would be cheaper for the touch, even though there's no VAT dixons have a monopoly for this kind of thing in the airport lounges so they make a little extra.

if you know anyone that's flying anywhere today i'd get them to check because i was trying to buy some bits for my macbook recently and the price was slightly more than on the high street

Why not use Amazon, takes a little longer to get here but I just bought a digital camera from there and saved about 25% on cost here
