Cork...it was pricey, 7.5 Euro for a pack of Marlboros. Nice to get away from the 3rd world for a week though.

Have you ever been to the Alps? Lovely place but I was paid (without actually realising) 9 euros for a Magners!!!!! A beer was 6 euros.

On the other hand we found a supermarket that sold a bottle of red for 1 euro - although it was like vineger.

Ok, it was only for a week and not somewhere you would live but what an expensive place.

Yep, it gets a bit mad on weekend. There was a massive brawl at hotel, 40 people and 9 Garda cars. In the words of the bouncer I talked to "..a stupid ****** pikey lass got carried away on dancefloor then all hell broke loose".

Walking through city centre on Sunday at 2am took me back to being in the Bigg Market.
