Default Dubai Radio

Right. I am torturing myself today by listening to Dubai 92 online while I work.
Normally I only listen to the radio to and from work.

The repition is getting really bad.
Right now the fireflies song is on and it's the 3rd time i've heard it today.

Shinedown, black eyed peas, pink, gets absolutely hammered and nickleback...don't get me started on them!

Poor old adam lambert is getting hammered as well....though he probably doens't mind.
He's only got the one song too.

I channel surf while driving which helps but I really think Dubai 92 needs to sort its act out.

Only thing worth listening to is CB and GB in the morning (but again, not the playlist as it's the same songs as the rest of the day).

99.3 has been good lately....and often listen to the business breakfast on Dubai eye.....but in general it's slim pickings.

Why? You have whole t'intenet to surf for better radio....

And, as an aside, please consider yourself lucky. In Bahrian we Keraazzzy Kev on the radio, the DJ name alone should be enough to get them taken off the air....

I was only listening to Dubai 92 online today to see if it's as repeditive as it is in the morning and evening.

but good point about online radio - hadn't thought of it.
Don't normally listen to radio online.

Generally my favourite also. However they do drive me mad with "This is a recording of a previous programme, all phone lines are now closed"

It seems to get more frequent and even happens at peak times like 0700 0900 1100 etc. Should have some competent backup broadcasters but guess saving money?

Jess can be a pain in the arse, jumps in all the time but she is on holiday so tune and in listen to Wes with Alex McNabb, they go well together.

Indeed. Dubai residents are spoiled for choice. Qatar has one English-speaking station...QBS. For some of the day it broadcasts in French, and it stops everything for every call to prayer...even right in the middle of songs or interviews. The DJs are terrible and the newsreaders are laughable...oh and the music they have before the news sounds like some banana republic / tinpot dictatorship's national anthem.

Dubai Eye has had to pull certain programmes under instruction.

You should listen to Nightline on 12th Jan. That'll be great.

We have 92 on in the Office all day. Yes they seem to have about 10 songs they rotate round throughout the day. I cant understand why.

The guy who is on to replace CB and GB doesnt shut up.

Its not good

omg, i hate that song, and it is on all the bleedin time...92 does seem to have a very tiny playlist, doesn't really fit in with their new branding strategy of "a better mix"...does it...

Somebody over here on Paradise Island made the wise decision to give the BBC World Service an FM slot, so reception quality is superb.

Although I hate their pro-Brussels propaganda, and their weather forecasters are still prattling on about the winter at home being "colder than expected, at least for the time being" (drop the global warming stuff please, Mrs Beeb, for God's sake - nobody believes it any more!), they do at least have some stuff that's worth listening to, and often genuinely informative.

Isn't that available in Dubai?
