Re: Dubai Mall then...
Missus and I needed hangover recovery so pizza hut it was.
The meal deal we got comes with wedges right.
Wait for the meal and she serves and there's no wedges. i ask why not and she says....it only comes with wedges if you get thick crust....not thin crust which we had.
WTF - what sort of rule is that? no price diff between thick or thin.
rules for the sake of rules in this place.
Needless to say I argued and got wedges in the end.
Also, missus wanted water instead of pepsi....they couldn't arrange that either as the meal only comes with pepsi.

yup - Dubai are going to talk themselves out of business.
we went to Atlantis to see the "lost chambers" on Thursday evening - totally empty restaurants. our family and other families were all having the same problem...
"can I have a table for four please?"
"sorry no we work on reservations only"
"but your restaurant is empty...."
"we work on reservations only"
was tempted to stand next to them make a phone call and reserve for right away, but it really didnt look that good, so we drove back home via the world's most expensive council estate / building site / 6-lane motorway aka the Palms

Dubai Mall is the last remnant of the extremely vapid and extravagant Dubai lifestyle promise that died in October 2007...

I saw someone like that watching a game of cricket on telly once, in Lahore Paksistan. He was sort of wandering around the stand of the stadium with kids literally hanging of his various limbs whilst they smiled at the camera. I dont think it was human.
