Dubai Flea Market
For those like me, who love a bargain, here is a good way to spend a few hours out in the fresh air. Should be plenty of unwanted Xmas prezzies going cheap. For those who have never been, you can expect half the Filipino population of Dubai to be in attendance, either buying or selling.

We've sold stuff their three times now, it's actually good fun and you would not believe the shite people will buy off you. Phone chargers, power extensions, shoes, clothes etc... Ideal to get rid of unwanted Christmas presents.

It costs about 200 aed (can't remember the exact amount) for a table. You can share a table with someone to split the cost.
It is good fun and, yes, it's surprising what 'rubbish' people will buy. You have to price it right and not be greedy otherwise you end up taking back a load of stuff you wanted to get rid of.
Popular things include mobiles, chargers and suitcases/luggage bags. Decent clothing alweays goes well, particularly trainers and sportswear.
You wont get major money for each item (a t-shirt might fetch 25 Dirhams, a pair of trainers in reasonable nick 40 Dirhams) but the total can be very surprising. Once we get to the end we sell of for silly money (2 t-shorts for 10 Dirhams etc) to so it goes.
Make sure you take somebody with you to help out otherwise you will be stuck on the table potentially for 5 or more hours. It's more fun if you have someone to chat to. You can have some good banter too with the 'punters' particularly the Philipinos. Take lots of change too, plus packed lunch and drinks.

Perfectly good books at Dhs2 each, DVD's at Dhs5-10 and we bought a whopping hamster cage for Dhs30 compared with Dhs250 at Petzone. Don't you guys go to carboot sales back home or are you all too posh?
