Default Dubai Brunch Recommendation Please

Although still recovering from last night, need to find a brunch in Dubai this Friday.
Parameters:
 Max AED 200
 Good food
 Unlimited booze (bubbly not required)
 Nothing too posh (which I don't suppose we'd get for AED 200 anyway), and not full of 20-something tossers or heart-attacks-waiting-to-happen.

Any recommendations?

Unlimited booze for less than AED200. You cannot be serious.

Not sure if they do Brunch, but worth calling Flavours on Two (Tower Rotana).

Centro Barsha do one for Dhs139 (house drinks), not sure how good/bad food is.

This weeks time out has a feature on brunches, and every week there is a section that breaks brunches down into price categories.

The Dusit on the SZR , it's 215 rips a pop and is pretty good , ate there last month , not the biggest selection of grub and mainly focuses on Thai/Asian but it's top quality and there's shed loads of ice cold Tiger Beer

Good value and a canny view as well

For the Abu Dhabians...

Last Friday around 10 of us went to the Garden on the 9th floor of the Crowne Plaza on Hamdan. Excellent food and unlimited neck oil for 190 Dibs a head.

Good call Norm

I think that falls into the younger crown acting like twats category... I like the place, it's carnage.

I had quite a laugh at spice island. Food wasn't bad but it is VERY kid friendly. Not so much an adult brunch.

My mate highly recommends Bamboo lagoon, which is in JW Marriott in Deira. It it is over budget at 295 but the cocktails are supposedly fabulous AND they do a HAKA at some point in the afternoon. Also the brunch includes the Hofbrauhaus too. What's not to love? We never made it there sadly...

It's been too long since I was last in Waxy's.

The Deira pub crawl for a stag do I did a couple of weekends back was mind-blowing.

There was a time when the JW Marriott did a 12 hour brunch. Anyone remember that?

Yep, wasn't it only 120Dhs. I got there at midday, valiantly made it to 7pm before being "helped" out, from 4-6 you couldn't order any more alcohol but the kindly waiters would bring you 6 pints or a couple of giraffes of vino to keep you going. It wasn't unusual to see people getting out of the lift with their plates piled high with different nose bag.

A typical menu would start with a Mongolian spicy noodle affair, have steak in the middle with a large sausage and lobster on the side, then finish with a chocolate fountain.

Or in my case, beer, cocktails and wine.

Mental Memories...
