I couldn't decide whether the idea of an inefficient organisation like DEWA now having the power to issue UAE residency visas was true or not. When paying my bill this morning, only one out of seven cashier counters was open. Needless to say, we expat holder ticket numbers had to wait ages while Emiratis without them got to be served first. Utter shambles. Mind you, the prospect of a truck toll in Sharjah (also reported today) is equally crazy. Don't they know that April Fools Day was last week?
