Got into a debate last night surrounding flying to Italy. A friend claims Etihad fly from Dubai - Abu Dhabi - Milan. I didn't believe it possible, thinking he'll actually be on the Etihad coach from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

Does anyone know if Etihad do fly from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?

I did try finding out on the Etihad website, it looks like no but due to having many beers with the said friend last night, I can not trust any information my brain processes today.

as far as I know they only transfer you by coach from Dubai to AD.

Thanks, I'll go with that.

I'm fairly sure Etihad would not fly from Dubai to Abu Dhabi - their planners (or whoever does their routes) would have sleepless nights over the carbon footprint it would leave.

Yeah you're right.

I looked into LON-DXB and one of the options that came up was Etihad... They assign a flight number to the AUH-DXB portion but when you hover your mouse over it it comes up 'coach'

abu dhabi owns etihad and dubai emirates, they'd both rather chop of their nuts than let the other land at their home airport
