Boat loads of live UK TV channels. Every series / film you can imagine. 2 weeks worth of UK TV channels saved for catch up. In longer; All the BBC, ITV, CH4, etc. Sky sports Sky movies BT Sport Discovery, History etc. Basically just sky in the UK with all the good channels. Plus, loads of movies and almost every series worth watching (Game of Thrones, Suits, 24, Homeland etc etc etc) Plus, all the TV channels are recorded and saved for 2 weeks. So every night we just watch whatever was good on TV the night before. When we got back from holiday we could watch the shows we'd missed easily. Connects to wifi and TV through HDMI. It's epic. |

Anyway. Amazon Fire TV is the way to go. I would never consider anything else at this point. Plus you can load Kodi on it for all your locally stored stuff. |

I had one of those magic boxes a few years ago. Gave up in the end as it was so unreliable. Channels missing randomly, the VOD could not be paused or the sync would go and never really a good enough picture (despite being touted as HD).
Anyway. Amazon Fire TV is the way to go. I would never consider anything else at this point. Plus you can load Kodi on it for all your locally stored stuff. Occasionally one of the services isn't working. I just message the guy and he resets or whatever. Only once has one of the things disappeared for a while and I just moaned at him. Otherwise it's been amazing. Loads basically instantly, all the normal fast forwarding through adverts etc. Perfect. A million, billion, trillion times better than any TV solution i've seen or heard of out here. Including linking a laptop with a VizzlePizzleNizzle to iPlayer etc. Such a ****ing ball ache. |

Did it for too long. Spent too many times with dinner on my lap searching for something to watch for the sake of it whilst letting the food slowly go cold.

Quicker, cheaper, easier. Apple TV with a uk iTunes account. 6 quid a month for Now TV. All of the above content.
Do you need a VPN set up on it? |
Re: Du mthly chgs
Sort of VPN, its all to do with the DNS settings.
Take me for a beer after Eid and I'll walk you through it if interested. |

It's a box. It has a remote. It plugs into the TV. It isn't branded. I got it off a guy via whatsapp and he couriered it to me, now every 6 months I give one of his drivers 1500 dizzers.
Bish bash bosh. Done. TBH. I has it's moments of unreliability but 75% of the time it's my internet / Du to blame. Occasionally one of the services isn't working. I just message the guy and he resets or whatever. Only once has one of the things disappeared for a while and I just moaned at him. Otherwise it's been amazing. Loads basically instantly, all the normal fast forwarding through adverts etc. Perfect. I get 160 UK channels (inc. BBC, ITV, C4, Sky Sports 1-5, F1, Sky movies channels), BEin sports and various other channels, plus 35 channels of p0rn. It also has a 'video' store where whoever has set it up gets copies of films and TV series off the Chinese lady(s) and uploads them, some are good copies, some not so good. |
