Driving Riyadh to Muscat
 
Hi experts,
I'm thinking of driving Riyadh - Muscat via Abu Dhabi or Dubai (to collect daughter from airport). Any problems (as if)? Any advice? In particular, is there any half-decent hotel half way twixt Riyadh & UAE without diverting to the Intercontinental in Hofuf?
