Well, what a surprise - not. Remember this used to happen quite a bit some years ago and HH was not amused

To be fair those guys work exceptionally hard between the hours of 10am and 1pm.....
The thing is everyone in Dubai knows that Govt departments are a joke where timings are concerned. Maybe he's only just become aware of this.

A thread on Reddit has a link to an Arabic article saying Sheikh Mohammed announced the retirement of nine senior government ministers today, to make way for a younger generation.

I'm inclined to think it's a valid article because the nine executives were named including their departments.

HH has been doing this for years - I worked for him (indirectly) about ten years ago, and he was notorious for it. Mind you, the problem back then was that all the expats were in on time, while the locals were usually late - nothing much has changed, it seems. I lost count of the number of "managers" who were fired while JBR was being constructed..........

So it seems the possibility of being fired is not a deterrent. Maybe they need something more punitive.

And now it seems he wants doors to private offices removed so people can't hide and be slackers.

They should attack the ridiculous amount of holidays they have first.
