Doha - Beerage

Failed to get my flight changed to 17:50 back to AD so stuck here till 22:50. Any recommended boozers - and how is DOH Airport for turning up semi-wankered?

The only one open in daytime is Belgian in Intercon mate. Champions bar opens at 5 with a happy hour QR25 a pint which fills up well. Thats at the marriott.

Ive not known anyone have probs at airport, depends on how blathered you want to get?

I lied, The Cellar bar is also open at the Rotana. And thats a stone throw away from Airport.

You can get a beer in the daytime at the Swissbel hotel. It's a dump but cheapish.

Ive never even heard of it, Though on a map its 1 junction away from work.

It's a bit out of the way. Go into the lobby, stairs to the right, coffee shop one side, bar the other. Only has Foster's and Heineken, 32QR a pint, fair old number of Lebo's getting banjaxed...

Cellar seems OK. No draught beer mind, but hey after a day like this the magners will do instead!

I forgot to mention, thats where I drink magners, avoid the guinness as its in a tin.

Go Through Immigration and get plastered in the Orxy lounge. No beer on show but ask and yee shal be served

Turned up a little wobbly 45mins before the flight and got on OK. Slept until I landed. Happy days.

Didn't get to see much, but seemed an OK wee place. I guess work life must be the same as AUH, just less boozers to go to. Liked that it is small.
