Does Lewis Hamilton look like an Emirati?
I don't mean because there are Emiratis/Khaleegis with African ancestry, but there is a certain phenotype present in the Emirates and the region that Hamilton mirrors.
The average Western person with mixed Black White ancestry does not look like the specific Emirati phenotype I am thinking of. Throw a dishdash on Hamilton and he would fit perfectly in the UAE, not something I would say for other Westerners of mixed Black White ancestry. |

Bollox
He just looks like any other mixed lad and has the attitude to go with it. Except he doesn't wear a hoodie. |

Hamilton doesn't look like Afro Arab. When Lewis has on a promotional hat he looks like the Emiratis who went to some trendy / designer store and bought any and all stuff. |

I don't know about the percentage but I've me alot of them
A while back I read a BBC article on the roughly 1.8 million Iraqi Arabs of Black African descent and how this community had hoped with the invasion of Iraq, the discrimination they face might subside a bit. |

Do they face any negativity from the 'White' (Semitic) Arab? When I lived there (Abu Dhabi)I never interacted with Black Arabs but know there is a history of Blacks/Black Arabs derogatorily being called "Abd" (slave/servant) by 'White' Arabs.

Re: Does Lewis Hamilton look like an Emirati?
Actually, I've met countless black Emiratis in the top (military/defence) and diplomatic circles and some are have no known portfolios but they seem to be major decision makers.
In Saudi Arabia and Morocco, think they are quite visible as key members of the royal families...notably Prince Bandar bin Sultan aka 'Bandar Bush' whose Dad died recently (Prince Sultan) who was the minister of defence while he was KSA's ambassador to the U.S As for Oman...well, technically it was colonised by Zanzibar (Island off coast Tanzania in East Africa). So its inevitable many of them intermarry with Zanzibaris who emigrated to Oman after the 1960's revolution in Zanzibar which kicked out the Sultan of Oman from Zanzibar where he was based. |
