290 bhp out of fords 3.7 V6 which I reckon is decent

360 bhp out of fords 5.0 V8 which I reckon is jolly decent

310 bhp out of the old 5.4 V8 in my soon to be expy which is a bit lame but its a very lazy relaxed and lovely old engine with a super 6 speed box so acceleration is still better than the more powerful Chevys

I reckon V8's are happy engines personally

I think good ole boys still prefer cubes whereas the Hispanics like torturing some highly strung nitrous 2.0 within an inch of its life. I was brought up on Starsky and Hutch. original Dukes of Hazard, vanishing point and Bullet and the only V8's we saw in the flesh were dropped into Rover saloons and Range Rovers so V8's will always rule in this house hold. I don't think vanishing point would be the same with a 300 bhp Honda Civic

I know, I know (I loved my Boss Mustang, even though it was a dog in so many ways), but now that VW have put the 300bhp engine in the Golf, got its emissions and fuel consumption wayyyyyy down, stuck in 4WD and the super-slick DSG box, the appeal of even the steroidal V8 beauties (Mustang GT, for example) loses its edge for me. Maybe its an age thing

Finally got the keys to the Expy and it is too long to fit in the "garage" in Alma

Its so wide that with a Tiida next to it you can only just open the doors

The Tiida gets swapped for Mrs Tocks F150 next week, oops

Bloody love it. Lots of grunt when i need it and nice and quiet when i want it to be

Hankering for a raptor at some point though but dont want to sacrifice the comfort as i do a fair few kms a month
