Well I pay myself quite regularly so I cant complain 
But as far as the IT sector goes, things are pretty bad right now.
It used to be an average of 1 company running away with creditors money a month for the past 3 years. That average has jumped to 3 companies running away every month since the past 3 months now. This month the average might go up as its only the 15th of the month and already 3 have run away. The top one taking about 50 mil AED with them. I know of atleast one who will leave by the end of this month, he already is undercutting like crazy. Anything and everything as long as he can get it on credit. Bad scene right now.

Everyone knows hard times are coming. How can it not? Oil in the crappers, UAE agencies cutting budgets substantially, real estate sales down 50%.

A good friend's husband just left a joint local venture development company due to late cheques. It went up to 3 months late, this year.

Always on time.
Can't imagine the stress of not receiving it on time and not knowing. A pal worked for a questionable contractor in Dubai before his current role and I warned him (turned out to be right) and it was a ****ing nightmare.

It's not great. Like i mentioned before I got paid late. I couldn't book holidays, couldn't plan anything. Because i just didn't have the confidence that the cash will be there

I think there are laws that mandate timely payment. They just introduced mandatory bank payments in Qatar to enable this but like so many things, enforcement is ???
