Do you actually LIKE the Middle East?
Personally, I don't - the assignments are purely financial. I can't ever get my head around the 'we like the lifestyle' people.
I cant stand Saudi, Kuwait is little more than a garbage dump and Qatar full of arrogant angry locals.
I'm working in Bahrain now - its OK - but its still just work. If the money wasn't so good, I'd go home. Bahraini are friendly enough when they aren't getting gassed and tortured.
Many expats tend to slag off home. Personally, I love the UK - Im what my Gump mates would call a true patriot. Its so damn expensive However, in my opinion, the UK is the best country in the world when you are cashed up.
What about you? Do you actually like the Dunes?

1. An aged mother and her sick partner
2. An aged mother in law
3. An adopted kid in Thailand
4. An adopted kid with me
5. 2 nephews (who live in care)
Then yeh - family comes before my own wishes and love of country.....
