Well, not that I have to explain myself, I don't really go heavy handed with mod'ing, but it is all about context.

And a fair bunch of folk here were being unfair to GR, so I've got nothing to apologise for that, if you weren't acting like an arsehole to him then obviously I wasn't referring to you, but for anyone that was....it's fairly obvious there.

You can push your luck, but if expletives aren't in context, it'll be edited.

I'm looking forward to the day you use your "Mod" influence and authority to censor someone for bad language.........

You got it wrong - badly - and I think you know it. "Bunch"? - straws, clutching........ The word 'sorry' wouldn't go amiss.

I've been publicly and privately told to shut up - which I now shall - but I look forward to pushing the expletive boundaries in the weeks ahead.

ok...about being unfair to GarethR....I think we all behaved towards him as we have been doing all along, the fact that he is now a moderator has not changed that, only put him in the limelight for a bit, 15 minutes of fame and all that....and I am sure that GarethR is not after any special treatment from any of us...although I did flirt with him, which is a bit out of spec...

As for The Dean...he's just stirring.

That's true, he can hold his own, but to get grief just for being a mod is a bit out of order I felt, getting grief for being a numpty on the other hand  :D

Bob, you missed the point entirely - he was getting grief for being an all round *crunt*, as demonstrated on numerous occasions in the past. We were expressing our *concern* at his appointment.:frown:
I'd like to think no-one would get grief purely for being a mod.:)
