Proposed cigarette price increase law to act as deterrent to smoking
Abu Dhabi
The price of a packet of cigarettes will be increased if a federal anti-smoking law is passed at the end of the month. This rise will be linked with the ban on smoking in public places, such as bars, restaurants, cinemas and malls, across all the Emirates, which is expected to be introduced in June under the National Tobacco Control Law.
