Maybe i'm getting senile, but I seem to remember scams like this just before the bubble burst last time.

Anyone else remember??

If history has taught us anything, it's that if it looks like a bubble, then it's probably a bubble.

What does an isolated case of a bent agent have to do with a property bubble? Have you linked the correct article as I don't see any connection?

There was no specific link in the story. I was making the point that just before the last housing bubble burst, there were a number of stories regarding rogue agents scamming prospective tenants.

I'm not sure anyone doesn't think its a huge bubble again but I believe most think they can and will successfully predict when it will burst. They wont of course, people seldom do.

I think 2020/2021 is a pretty safe max end date though.

In the meantime everyone remembers the boom and all its glorious insanity so are quite happy to ride another bubble and make as much as possible before it bursts again.

Personally, I haven't had as good a start to a business year since 2007 so frankly who gives a **** if its a bubble, so far it is indeed a glorious one.

Perhaps the tightening of the licensing rules for agents has reduced the number of scams? Most people are aware that agents have to have a license now and I haven't heard of one for a while, apart from the big one focused on The Greens that caught out lots of people.
