Diane Abbott
She really is the tories dream isn't she.
After the car crash interview on LBC (itself left leaning), here's a great transcript. Guardian OK it was the Telegraph Can anyone really vote for Corbyn and his ex lover Abbott? |
Re: Diane Abbott
Here is another classic Abbott interview, just watch the video...

The hypocrisy of the woman beggars belief. |

Can you believe that following the last election in 2015, she wanted to run for London Mayor. I honestly don't know what planet she's living on. |
Re: Diane Abbott
She should be the British Ambassador to Mars as she is definitely not off this planet
|
Re: Diane Abbott
She should be volunteering in a charity shop a couple of afternoons a week. She shouldn't be working in politics anyway, that's for damn sure.

Re: Diane Abbott
Just shows that Hackey voters would vote for a baboon if it had Labour written on it.

Re: Diane Abbott
I think Diane Abbott is an amusing sideshow, a sort of leftie equivalent of Boris Johnson. She's entertaining on TV with her mate Michael Portillo. She adds much needed colour in so many ways to British public life. But what I really like about her is the spluttering outrage she invokes in the ranting right and the Daily Heil. That alone makes her worthwhile and would render it necessary to invent her if she did not already exist.
And for those clamouring for my intervention and seeking to provoke some reaction, sorry not biting. I know that study of facts and careful analysis are not activities that you value, but even a cursory glance at my previous correspondence on the subject of racial epithets and other race-baiting will reveal that I only interjected where I thought there was a likelihood of misunderstood intent. I was looking for a dialogue which did get successfully conducted despite your irrelevant bloviations from the sidelines. In this case there is no issue of misunderstanding the intent: it is clear. You are what you are and have revealed yourselves in this thread far more nakedly than I care to see. |

It grinds my gears tbh because the city is a total mess and they mostly have successive local Labour governments to thank for that. |

Are you for real? She provokes that reaction for no other reason than because she is utterly useless. It's as simple as that.

What validation? If you think it's a good idea to have a completely useless person in charge of the social welfare of a district full of people then I don't really know what to say to that.

I disagree. She's not the worst in that she doesn't appear to have any malicious intent. However she is utterly inept and has been involved in many a scandal in the not too distant past.

Re: Diane Abbott
I don't care what colour/race/religion politicians are but voting a Scouser in as mayor of Manchester is just wrong!

For so many reasons. |

Re: Diane Abbott
I've got to admit that I'm glad she is around as it weakens Labour's chances even more of ever being in power!
I'm looking forward to the inevitable #ToriesforAbbott campaign after Corbyn... |

No, he'll lose the election and just stay on. Maybe there'll be another leadership challenge but he'll survive that as well thanks to Miliband Minor's £3 supporters, many of whom are Tories and want to keep him in the job as long as possible. He won't go until the party rules are changed to allow a successor to be nominated by 5% rather than 15% of MPs. Then McDonnell or someone else from his cabal will stand and get in on that basis.
Considering the alternative to that is having a mad 70's throwback communist sympathiser in power though, I think I'd have to reluctantly prefer the status quo. |

It's a shame but you're probably right actually. And this country will continue to basically have no opposition and nothing will change.
