That's a wee bit like what happened in Melbourne. A change of State Government in Victoria increased the freeway (motorway) maximum speed from 100 kph to 110 kph...but it took them 4 months to change all the 100 kph signs to 110 kph. Meanwhile, the public drove up to the maximum speed limit of 110 kph ignoring the 100 kph signs, where present...as the government had a wide publicity campaign to say it was OK to do so.
1. A wide public campaign to make everyone aware.
2. All signs updated within a few months.
UAE effort.....
1. just get the poilice to tell their mates who tell their mates and so on.
2. can't be ar.sed changing the road signs even 3.5 years later.
And Victoria would have thousands of these speed signs over countless roads. Uae has probably 50 - 100 signs to change on what...2 or 3 roads?
I know, it's the UAE, it's the way it is.
