Default Desert Dubliner and family in Dubai

So we're coming for the New Year, booked Jumeira Rotana seven nights. Where should Desert Dubliner go with misus and two little Desert Dubliners aged 4 and 5? Must see places to see? Undersea zoo? Waterworld? Etc? Thanks for the tips.

Burj Khalifa (book tickets on-line to At the Top - not at the top - up to a month before you go to save lot of money) and tie that in with an evening meal somewhere to watch the fountains

Plus loads of other things to do in Dubai Mall such as SegaWorld, ice skating

Visit SkiDubai at Mall of the Emirates - plenty for the youngsters to do such as meet the penguins

If you'd rather be outdoors then you could watch some polo while the youngsters run around on the other polo field which isn't in use. Take your own picnic - there's a really big Spinneys in Motor City just next door to the polo club

or visit some of Dubai's parks

Hope this will help you start planning your break but am very sure that others will have lots more ideas for you.

Don't go to the actual zoo. It's got some decent animals but standards are terrible.

Suggestions above are good.

Also Aquarium at Dubai Mall

Sega Republic at Dubai Mall (I love that place)

Parks mentioned - good shout, Safa or Creek park ar the best in my opinion.

At the Creek Golf and Yacht Club you can hire a BBQ Donut boat. Apparently it's decent, I'm sure kids would love it but maybe 4 / 5 yr old is a bit young?

Waterparks - Aquaventure is better than Wild Wadi I think.
