Default Daytime beers in Dubai this weekend... where to go?

Headed over to Dubai for Jazz Fest this weekend and looking for ideas from you Dubai folks as to where to go for lazy beers during the day... beach bar would be good but not essential - just somewhere with a good atmosphere. Any any ideas at all gratefully received!

Goodfellas on Friday 99dhs for 5 beers and a dodgy buffet.

Anyone can do daytime beers, it takes a real champ to hit the spirits hard early in the day.

Barasti is arguably the most popular beachside bar in town. If you want a cheap brunch, though, you will need to venture towards the dark side...Bur Dubai and environs.

For a chilled out - twat free drink, head to the Jebal Ali hotel. Drinks by their little marina or on their beach

During the day Barasti is as good as anywhere.

Barasti gets pretty douchey after dark, rather Jersey Shoreish.

Cruise to Barracuda and drink your beers at home. Way better.

I went there years and years ago and there were local ladies arriving in abayas with the screaming kids, took the abayas off and lounged by the pool in teeny bikinis

The balcony outside the Belgian Bar (Crowne Plaza, nr Festival Centre) is good.

Food also good.

I like it.

Boardwalk also nice, near the creek.

We have been there several times - stay in the suites at the SPA if you can, much better.

As for screaming kids ... mini was probably mixed in with them somewhere
