Dubai is a weird one for promotion, but the few nights we have put on have been pretty good.

I think if you go for Gatecrasher it would be good, but you would need some big names and maybe mix it up a bit, dance classics, a bit of old skool, electro and some DnB to get the crowd hyper...

My concern is that Gatecrasher would only appeal to the Brits & i want to appeal to all ok most of the expat community

the lebanese seem to like their house music though, they are well into all the big djs, europeans as well maybe? If you promote it well enough you;d get people going, would have to be a weekend though.

House music I totally agree but i dont think say the Russians / Lebanese would know Gatecrasher the brand.... or would they simply just go ? With a lot of money at stake i cant risk it i need to minimalise all risks

I think it would work, as long as the some of the DJ's are recognisable well known 'household' names. My DnB nights have been very mutil-cultural, even had a few locals there but dressed down obviously.

You need the venue and the named dj mate, look at fatboy slim, AED 350 whcih I thought was far too much but it was a great night, outdoor which was fun but it finished at 11,

Chi is good as you have the outdoor venue and the little cool rooms as well, but you need a big name, a pete tong, oakenfold etc - not sure just 'gatecrasher' would do it to be honest with you.

I wouldnt just use a named brand. Big DJ's is not an issue, most of my good friends are either international dj's who specialise in various fields of Dance music or promoters in places like Ibiza, NY, London, Tokyo etc etc.... this is waht i do & have done for twelve years so my networking list is Huge, this thread was aimed at answering the Q of what is missing & what would you like to see in Dubai

Can't stand most of them...need more live music venues and a better variety of music in the clubs (and on different nights, not all at once...nothing worse than Arabic trance played back to back with Trip Hop and Electro!).
