Malls are dead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You gotta be shitting me. I am finally back and my toes are battered from being run over by Arab women (take the pain and don't swear as I do not like the Wathba Hilton and I see our video-ing friend has been banged up) and Jinglies who got full wrath.
I have just discovered I have come back with grey curtains according to the hotel maid when I thought they were a dusky blue. That's what you get for sending a colour blind man shopping who didn't want to go in the first place. Why cant Dubai be like Bahrain or Oz where when you rent a house you get ****ing curtains.
Anyway I am not going back to that madness so the house will have grey ****ing curtains and grey ****ing blinds upstairs
I think downstairs has cream curtains but who the **** knows, I didn't dare ask the maid anymore questions as I was feeling totally knob like at this point.

And why do they have holes in the trolley grating that are bigger than their ****ing curtain poles so as you negotiate through the mass of Jinglies and sad looking Europeans who I might add were also buying dusky blue blinds, the poles fall through the holes, get scratched so you have to go back and swap for another one

And no I didn't buy my lemon squeezer for currys that I cant live without. At one point I nearly walked out of the place and left the ****ing trolley

And I will never ever return to IKEA

Take pictures of windows/doors.
Print them out
Write measurements of them on the pictures
Take to section HB in Dragonmart
Look at material you like
Tell salesperson you want that material and give them the pictures
They'll work out the sizes
Tell them if you want net curtains (chiffon), choose them
Tell them you want 100% blackout backing, tie backs, hooks/rings, poles and fitting
Ask for discount/best price when they give you a total.
Go back next day, pick up your curtains and fitter, take home and await the fitter to work their magic.
Take fitter back or call cab to take him back.
