Cruising thru Hormuz
Hi, just really cos my OH is away & I got a text saying his ship - a Costa cruiseliner if you're in Dubai & looking out) is in view of that tall building, sorry I don't remember the name... and he said they're due to go through the Straits this afternoon/evening. Suddenly remembered that used to be dodgy - is it safe now?

Lots of cruise ships visit Dubai, and the only way in/out is via the Straits of Hormuz - fairly normal.
It's undeniably a tense area, but no more so at present than in recent months/years.

Yes, thankyou. he's a real sweetie..... Siamese according to passport, and a freebie too - some Dutch friends who'd 'obtained' him from a mutual English friend who was going back to UK then also decided to upsticks back to the Netherlands & me (liked cats, disliked cat poo/gardens & the way my mother always convinced me cats affect bird life) was totally against having one of their three mogs. Until I saw Lenny.
He's transformed my life & the house & is amazingly tolerant despite me telling 6year old you shouldn't push & pull the dog around and certainly not the cat, Lenny is grabbed, tugged, lugged & minds not a jot! And of course is beautiful.
