Cover Versions Better Than The Original.
Ok, so having viewed Deans link of Joe Cocker singing 'Unchain My Heart' (pretty good version), are there any cover versions you think that are better than the original?
For me, its Florence and The Machine's version of 'You Got The Love'. Fantastic voice, really soulful.

Re: Cover Versions Better Than The Original.
I love covers (and can't be bothered linking them, trust me they are all good). Its always interesting to see another persons take on something
Florence and the machine - halo
The automatic - gold digga
Orson - push the button
Johnny cash - one
Billy Connonly - one hand in my pocket (not really a cover, but proper genius)
arctic monkeys - love machine
stereo phonics - handbags and glad rags
The kooks - all that she wants
Manic street preachers - raindrops keep falling on my head
Hayseed dixie - gin and juice
Sorry for the misspells the only negative from the ipad2!

Knockin on Heaven's door by Guns-N-Roses. It was especially Slash's guitar riff that makes it better.

Word Up by Korn.
The original by Cameo was a bit shit to be honest. Korn took it from being a camp song of the 80s, and made it an anthem of the 90s.

2 spring to mind straight away, James Morrison - Man in the Mirror and Placebo - Running up that hill.

Slightly off the wall, but "Rent" by Carter USM.
Also partial to "Nobody Does It Better" by, er, Radiohead.

Not better - but equal in their own special and peculiar ways
No Quarter - Led Zeppelin / No Quarter - Tool
Stripped - Depeche Mode / Stripped - Rammstein
