Couples trip to "The Dark Side"
Thursday Night, 1st December, starting from George and Dragon, ending up at Sea View.
Anyone interested? Me and 5 others are going - so that's reason enough not to i guess.
Couples friendly, so no York or Jockeys (unless.....)
Your call, we're doing it anyway.

The York can be couples-friendly if you and your other half have the right attitude.

The Seaview is the same as The York, apart from you have the 'excuse' that "you should see the band and bass player"
There's a chance it could backfire - so in the future, when you say I'm off to see the band at the Seaview = a reply of "no chance".

Apparently there's a band at the York, but my friend who's been there said he never saw it.

They do some nice covers. The lesbian bass player is definitely a character.

Anyway, couples only. Who's in?
So far we have three white English guys with darker shades partners (usually a lot shorter than us too).
But hey, it's bird friendly.
I don't expect Scamp or Millhouse to turn up.....

Why couples only? Are you hoping to not pay the entrance fee? Tight bastard.

On a serious note though, not just couples, but it's couples friendly.

It's the day I fly to Doha
"I know the contract begins on 1 December but it's a Thursday, so why don't I just fly over on Saturday evening and turn up at the office on Sunday AM? That way I'll have a final weekend in Dubai to wrap up affairs (and get drunk)."
"HR says if contract begins on 1 December you need to turn up at the office on 1 December."
"I know that's what HR says, but I'm not a new hire, just swapping countries and you know I've spent enough time in the Doha office in the last two years anyway. So what's the big deal?"
"HR says if contract begins on 1 December you need to turn up at the office on 1 December."
"Ok. Gotcha."
*Travel department books flight departing DXB at 2:30 PMish on 1 December......*
Ah, definitely get it now.
