country stalls in old town...

...anyone know what they are all about...? was there today, and they were being set up along the main road up from dubai mall, in front of souk al bahar....there were a numer of small booths, with loads from china and india, plus "europe", kenya and some other random countries...

me neither, never been since it was at the Creek! used to be really good then. Now it is apparently a load of overpriced crap.

Yes it closed down over a month ago. What they have now are various stalls and kiosks scattered around the amusement park section, which they call the Spring Festival but the main Global Village interior is fenced off. They have probably relocated to the Old Town as business is very quiet.
