Re: Corfu
Unless its India or the likes most places are a pain to get to from Dubai and so expensive, return flights from Dubai to Uk are almost 40 higher with Emirates than Uk to Dubai and whilst BA are cheaper there is also quite a difference

Re: Corfu
I can fly from Newcastle to Corfu and stay at this Hotel for two weeks for 1300 quid, which is about 5500 dhs. I bet I can triple that if I try to book it from here.

Re: Corfu
Thank you for sending your query to Emirates.
Different airfares will be available from different countries depending on several factors.
As with any commercial enterprise, the laws of supply and demand will apply, and products and services are sold in different countries at different prices depending on demand - the higher the demand, the higher the price, and vice versa. The same applies to fares with airlines - fares are priced differently to/from different destinations.
If availability from Dubai to the UK is expected to be higher for a time period, then the difference in fare between directions may appear greater, which is perhaps why you see a large difference in fare.
There is also an element of seasonality in the fares, however fares will vary from country to country depending on the commercial/operating environment in each respective country - they will not necessarily be the same for different countries of departure, even though they may be between the same cities, but in opposite directions.
You may indeed therefore see different fares for the same city combination if the travel originates from one of the cities as opposed to the other - nearly all scheduled airlines operate in this manner to some degree - we see that BA offer a fare of USD353.92 for Dubai to London, however their London - Dubai fare is USD193.67 (plus taxes & surcharges) for example. Lufthansa offer a fare of USD150.80 London to Dubai (via Frankfurt), but Dubai to London (via Frankfurt) is USD432.88 (plus taxes & surcharges)
Please also remember that the Pound has dropped approximately 20% against the US Dollar (and pegged Dirham) recently, hence this would accentuate any fare difference to make the fare from the UK seem cheaper
Kind Regards,

Re: Corfu
so no further forward really then? will have to buy a single ticket her to return to UK then start buying return open tickets for coming back and forth, if that makes sense.
