if it's any consolation, I hate birth stories as mine normally top the "holy ****ing crap, you win" competitions by the mummy mafia. I get teary at my second son's birthday(s), and occasionally, even 5 years on it still hits me how ****ing lucky we were to have access to competent medical care, and I kiss my confused little man on the head as he's beating his big brother on the head with his triceratops.
