Hello,

I just came across this great little business out near miracle garden - they just fixed my Mustang's water damaged ECU which the garage was saying needed replacing. (replacement was several thousand dirhams vs. 750dh for the repair). The repair was done in a day. Six month warranty on the ECU too.

They also fix computers, data recovery etc. Bloody marvelous.

2 weeks too late for me! Just dropped 4k fixing the golfs electronics :ohmy:

will bear them in mind for next time!

If it was under warranty you'd have it fixed/replaced at the dealer for free. :lol:

I assumed as much so guess you were out of warranty?

Sometimes some things aren't covered for some things and doing something to them sometimes make some other things or everything not covered. I think.

Anyway, was just curious more than anything.

Wish this had come up about 2 years ago when one of the dashboard lights went.

Yeh, the mustang is out of warranty. The ECU got flooded a few months back during a jet wash and it's been playing up ever since (random fault codes, 120 beep stopped, AC not working, car going to limp mode) etc. It would definitely be a abhorrently job if that was applicable.

The final straw was the AC dying.

I drove the old Explorer from JLT to Ford when the AC had packed up...in August. Windows down does nothing but blow the hot air around...... I was drenched.

Did the guy pop the hood and jet wash the engine? Bit strange to reach the ecu otherwise, unless its somewhere in the driver or passenger's foot well.

It was lifted up and they sprayed underneath. CEL light came on straight away with every single fault code listed :(

I hope you took the time to hoof the culprit in the junk.

Consider remapping the ecu while getting it fixed? Release those hidden horses or alternatively blow it up.

Did consider remapping, but decided to just get the AC working.

Seems that the spanner monkeys though that played with the AC despite me telling them it was the ECU have caused a fault though. It now runs freezing cold for a minute and then off for a bit, then back on, pressure switch I guess. Will sort that at the service.
