It was recently announced that a leading Italian jockey for Godolphin stable, had gone freelance, it now comes out (Tuesday) that on Sept 16th he proved positive in tests taken in France!

If it's Frankie Detorri, then he most likely was positive for cocaine. He had a spot of bother with coke a few years back.

Godolphin give him the Spanish archer . 18 years service for Sheik Mo but to be honest Frankie was past his best a few years ago and Godolphin have not really had the calibre of rides that they did a few years ago .

Maybe he'll now have to pay rent on his Pizza place in the Marina ;)

Yes he was caught with some in his car, 1993 I think the report said, he just got a warning and he was quoted to say "it taught me a lesson" obviously not, but then he will not be the only one not to learn from his mistakes:rofl:

No report of it being recreational it could be a banned diuretic for the weight loss.

Dettori has constantly struggled to make the weight as a flat jockey over the years and as the years pass by it becomes even harder .

Or he could have had a blow out on the Gak !

That could well be why the initial report in racing post didnt mention drugs and further report mentioned banned substances, mention a possible 6 month ban so that will be him retired.
