Get glass, rinse quickly
Drop 3-4 large ice cubes in glass
cut up half a lime into 2-3 segments
Squeeze each into glass and drop in
Pour dark rum in, I recommend; Lambs or Woods for a bit of filth, or Bacardi 8yr, Morgan's Spiced, the Original Sailor Jerry (not the new shit) for something mainstream or my personal favourite; Mount Gay.
Add a splash of coke.

NB - there should be more Rum than Coke.

Serve.

The Lazy Tecom Turmoil

I'll let that slide.

Rum and coke is more than just a drink or a spirit mixer. It's a way of life, a rite of passage, a moment in time when you take that first oh so refreshing mouthful. It's something to be savoured, enjoyed and relished. It's something to be utterly grateful for and thankful that pirates exist(ed).

Pint of lager, take a sip, top up with lime cordial.

Long Beach Ice Tea (simply version, without the pouncy stuff only bars have) - one shot each of Tequilla, White Rum, Gin and Vodka. Ice. Squeeze of lemon or lime. Cranberry juice. Job done.

Or for Long Island Ice Tea, replace the cranberry with coke.

Few of these and the world is a fuzzier place.

I had loads of LIIT's at Jebel Ali resort last weekend, ended up not being able to get up off my bean bag. Awesome drink.

Simple, yet effective chrismas cocktail.

Ice, one shot of Baileys and one shot of Glayva. Give it a wee stir and off you go. And being christmas it's house measures all the way, so one finger for a single, two fingers for a double, and so on...
