Climbing Walls

Thinking of picking up some rock boots in Decathlon and hitting one of the walls here. It has been years since I've been climbing, and I've never been here - any recommendations for walls? I know there's one in Wafi. Actually, I don't think I know any others.

Re: Climbing Walls

Wafi is probably the best, if not only one. I did a couple of classes there and it was good, not massive, but good with smaller bouldering sections as well as various climbs.

There is one at Adventure HQ but it might be more of a gimmick than proper...

Am without belay partner for now, so bouldering sounds good. Thanks!

There's a one in Trade Center Apartments (those awful 80s built buildings in front of Trade Center). My boy used to be an instructor there, it's better than the one at Wafi but is outside.

By stairs? :p

I'm not nearly good enough to go up the outside.

There's quite a decent collection of climbers in the UAE now. PM me if you want to get connected (and join us on outings once the weather gets better).

Cheers pal. Not sure how long I'm around for but will get in touch if there's a chance of me getting on some rock!

Thanks both. Are adults allowed on all those? I got the impression the Mirdif one was for kiddies only...
